Sonic Dash Controls and Basics Controls You control your character in Sonic Dash just by swiping your finger, you can move from left, right, jump by swiping up and if you swipe down you will go into a ball and dash, with the ability to smash through some of your enemies - like the crabs. Like Subway Surfers, there are basically three paths, a left, middle and right one and when you are in mid-air from a jump you can change your lane/path by swiping to the left or the right. Watch out for other control prompts in the game, such as when you have to jump across a large space you may have to jump, then wait for the tap target to display then quickly tap it to successfully complete the jump. Likewise at the end of a boss battle, you get prompted to tap at certain parts of the battle in order to defeat your enemy.
